Breaking News: Killer of Nigerian Army General Arrested

Operatives of the Nigerian military intelligence have arrested the suspected killer of Major General Mohammed Shuwa (rtd).

The suspect was arrested in Kano area of Kano State. Shuwa was murdered in his residence in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The murder was suspected to have been carried out by members of the dreaded sect, Boko Haram, on November 2, 2012.

The retired military officer was the first General Officer Commanding of the Nigerian Army's 1st Division.

He also commanded the Nigerian Army's 1st Division during the Nigerian Civil War.

The spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, confirmed the arrest of the suspect. He said the suspect will be paraded in Kano where he was arrested.
