Embattled factional leader of the of Nigeria Football Federation
Chris Giwa was arrested on Friday after a light confrontation with
security details stationed at the FA’s secretariat.
Earlier in the day former NPL chairman, Rumson Baribote had attempted
to debunk claims by the Court registrar that the Jos High Court order
to relist previous injunctions was misinterpreted.
The news of the arrest comes as the Giwa FC club owner gained
entrance into the secretariat after working hours but soon engaged in a
verbal skirmish with the security details stationed at the secretariat
prompting an initial expulsion from the building but eventually
resulting to an arrest.
