Real Madrid have beaten city rival, Atletico Madrid 5 – 3 on
 penalties at the San Siro stadium in Milan to emerge winners of the 
2016 UEFA Champions League title.
Captain Sergio Ramos scored in the 15th minute to put the Los Blancos ahead in the game and make their dominance count.
However, Zinedine Zidane’s boys lost bite just as Atletico Madrid 
struggled to get a goal before the end of the first half but to no 
avail.
The second half began with Atletico hitting harder on real Madrid.
Luck subsequently shined on Diego Simeone’s boys as Juanfran’s cross earned Yannick Carrasco an equaliser in the 79th minute.
Both La Liga giants maintained the lone goal apiece till the end of the second half.
Both stood their grounds in the extra time while Cristiano Ronaldo 
scored the winning goal in the penalty shootout to help Real Madrid 
clinch their 11th Champions League title.
