Following the recent condolence visit of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola’s aka YAYI, to the residence of late Olanihun Ajayi in Isara, governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has allegedly ordered attack gang on the Ilaro-born politician.
This is as the race for who succeeds Sen. Amosun as Ogun state governor in 2019 take a very rough shape.
A confidential source who pleaded for protected identity revealed to this paper that the condolence visit of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola to the family of the late Afenifere leader Pa Olanihun Ajayi in Isara did not gone down well with the incumbent governor of the state.
It was learnt that the entourage of the Lagos-based-Ogun-born Senator got the incumbent governor very angry with his growing popularity across the state.
It was learnt that several sons and daughters of Isara trooped out Monday morning to catch a climpse of Senator Adeola, as his entourage which includes 12 of the immediate past local government chairmen in Ogun State, former consultants in Ogun State, former Ogun East coordinator of the Ibikunle Amosun for second term campaign, Dr Odemuyiwa and a host of others who were all part of the governor’s first term team made its entry into the sleepy town.
Notable politicians from Sagamu and Ijebu Ode LGA including the current party chairman in Ijebuode Lekuti and Alhaji Sarumi were also there to welcome Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
Feelers from the government circle revealed that the Governor wasn’t pleased with the development and has allegedly ordered the mobilization and release of attack gangs similar to those that were unleashed on the Labour leaders to track and deal with Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola the next time he makes a political visit to the state.
