As the 2019 general elections draw near (though 3 years from now) every politician with one ambition or the other are finding medium, avenue and opportunity to express their views, feelings and perception about the presennt scope of governance in Ogun State.
One controversial name in Ogun State at the moment is Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola, this is a Lagos politician who after enjoying the electoral collegiate for 4(16 years mandate) election cycles, wants to come and govern the gateway state.
Well, if he's from Ogun State let's watch as the choice makers including traditional leaders, religious leaders, political leaders and the electorates decide his fate.
What brings concern to me and some other youth in Ijebu and at large, Ogun state is the desperacy of Yayi's candidature that has led to his sacrilegious utterances towards the monarchs and elderstateman will never in Ogun State.
The insult, abuse and disregard meted on Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Kabiesi Ogbagba, the Awujale of Ijebuland and others is a clear testament that Yayi's link with Ogun State is not only doubtful but worth of probe.
His media aide, Kayode Odunaro wouldn't have spoken anything contrary of Yayi's mind and the 'Obasanjo and Awujale are not GOD' conundrum from such a person shows that the Yewa people would be disjointed from Ogun when the Yayi campaign starts at large.
Laughable as the 'OBJ and Awujale are not God' statement was, the bible itself describe all as 'Ye are gods' and the Yorubas says 'Kings are representatives of God on earth', so I don't know where Yayi and his boy, Odunaro are getting there own talks from.
I love to warn Yayi and his cotravellers that we in Ijebu don't joke with our monarch, Ogbagba is our rallying point.
Anybody who thinks Obasanjo is not God should go and ask former president Goodluck Jonathan who masterminded his downfall at the poll in 2015.
With this, I think the people of Ogun West if they truly want to govern this state should work on better candidates and not this impersonator, intruder and what some can better describe 'bastard'.
