Breaking! MD of the Authority Newspapers Resigns, Joins APGA... Details!!!

Uche Ezechukwu, the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Authority Newspapers, a media firm owned by Ifeanyi Ubah, has resigned.

Few minutes ago on Facebook, Uche Ezechukwu wrote...

"I have forwarded my formal letter of resignation to the Managing Director/ Editor-in Chief of THE AUTHORITY newspaper from my position as the chairman of the Editorial Board of the paper on account of my recent decision to participate in partisan politics, since I enrolled into APGA last week. The very partisan political roles which I have opted to play will be at variance with the avowed neutral editorial policy of the paper. So, I felt it would be honourable of me to withdraw from that position. My resignation is supposed to take effect as from the end of my current annual leave, or if the Management feels otherwise, with immediate effect.

"I am grateful for the opportunity I had to work, since the paper's inception on October 15th 2015, with the best team one can meet in this country.

"I further express my gratitude to our publisher, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah for his large-heart, generosity and sophistication which enabled him to grant us 100percent unfettered freedom and latitude to perform our job. I am yet to encounter anybody like him, in my long journalism career. I wish him the best in his present and future enterprises.

"I request all to continue to patronize The Authority, because its best is yet to come."
