VIEW: Doing catch up and this is my take on the Dino saga - Omotoyosi Omotoso

If the fact that Dino Melaye had served two terms in the Lower House without any certificate brouhaha but suddenly seemed not to graduate from ABU when there's a war of attrition between the presidency and the legislative arm government doesn't tell you anything about this senseless Buhari government and the idiocy of the people proping it up, you probably have a certificate that doesn't matter.

Interesting to note that ABU, a federal university situated in an educationally disadvantaged state and subject to federal character went under fire for admitting '3 credits'.

More interesting is, the beneficiaries of this lopsided arrangement were the loudest in their criticisms along with those who had shamelessly changed state of origin to gain entrance to federal institutions.

And most interestingly, a certain Prof who is not really a Prof but has not bothered to change that impression since he came to limelight over the Tuface saga, suddenly realizing certificate matters and wondered how Dino would scale through the mess. I wanted to stop by and tell him he scaled through his own penkelemes and Dino being a rugged thug would. But why bother? He wouldn't see the point.

A University registrar was reportedly alarmed to see Dino in an academic gown and was angered at the desecration of the academic community.
He's not alarmed that the witless herdman in power didn't pass though the four walls of an institution he represents but the typical Nigerian in him is more concerned with appearances than substance.
How dare Dino?

I'm not fazed by simpletons who took up missiles against Dino. Beyond the hand to mouth motion, they are clueless about anything else.

It's those who have sojourned the length and breadth of the earth in pursuit of 'excellence' and copiously add acquired trophies to their names, who just about two years ago didn't care about a certificate now opining on the quality of one.

Like the usual flash in a pan, all that is gone and we have moved on to EFCC and their chanced upon cash discoveries.

Nigeria, a land of curious and peculiar assemblage.
