Court Dismisses Treason Charge Against Charles Okah

Charles Okah

An Abuja Federal High Court has struck out the treason charge brought against, Charles Okah, the alleged mastermind of the first bombing in Nigeria.
Recall that the said bombing took place at the Eagle Square on October 1, 2010, a day Nigerians were celebrating the national Independence Day.
Ruling, Justice Gabriel Kolawole said he dismissed the treason charge due to lack of sufficient evidence.
Justice Kolawole stated that the prosecution did not prove that the then president, Goodluck Jonathan, target of the blast, was intimidated by the attack.
