Oladele who is the chairman of the House Committee on Financial Crimes represents Yewa North/ Imeko Afon Federal Constituency said this in a congratulatory message to Banire.
The congratulatory message was made available to newsmen, the federal lawmaker said the President made the right choice with Banire adding that the Senior Advocate would bring his enviable experience to bear in the new assignment.
He wrote, “I am delighted to hear of your recent appointment as the chairman of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and would like to offer my most sincere congratulations both on my behalf and my constituents.
“The President has indeed made an excellent choice base on qualification, experience, wisdom, leadership and dedication to service.
“Let me once again, reiterate my hearty congratulation and wish you the very best as you strive for greater height and lofty achievements.
Dr Muiz Adeyemi Banire was born on the 6th of October, 1966 in Olowogbowo area of Lagos Island, Lagos. He attended St. Jude’s Primary School, Mushin, Lagos and Archbishop Aggey Memorial Secondary School, Mushin, Lagos.
He earned his L.L.B. (Hons) Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ilorin (1984-1986). He bagged his LL.M and Ph.D. in Property Law respectively from the prestigious University of Lagos.
Banire was a former commissioner for Environment and Transport in Lagos State.
He is the convener of the fast growing policy and political pressure group, the United Action for Change, UAC.
